Lessons & Coaching
How are lessons held, and how long are they?
Lessons are private, one-to-one online sessions lasting 50 minutes. Most international students use Google Meet. For students in mainland China, VooV Meeting may be used when Google Meet is unavailable or unreliable. You'll receive joining details before your lesson.
Why are JFConvo lessons 50 minutes?
From my experience, 50 minutes provides a good balance between meaningful practice and sustained concentration. We begin with a relaxed conversation, gradually move into more focused and challenging work, and finish by slowing down, reviewing key points and reflecting on what you've learned.
The goal isn't to fill every minute with intensive exercises. It's to create a natural rhythm that allows you to think, speak and improve without feeling mentally exhausted.
What English level do I need?
JFConvo is designed primarily for upper-intermediate, advanced and proficient English speakers who want to communicate more naturally, clearly and confidently. If you can already hold conversations in English but want to express yourself better, you're likely a good fit.
What happens during a typical lesson?
Each session begins with a brief check-in and a focus based on your goals. From there, we explore real topics, practise communication and work on vocabulary, pronunciation and clarity. You'll receive targeted feedback and practical ideas to take forward. There is no rigid textbook or scripted curriculum.
Can lessons help me prepare for IELTS Speaking?
Yes. IELTS Speaking preparation can include structured answers, fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation and responding confidently under exam conditions. Sessions are tailored to your current ability and areas for improvement. Specific band scores cannot be guaranteed.
Do you offer professional or corporate English coaching?
Yes. JFConvo offers communication coaching for professionals, executives and small teams. Sessions can focus on meetings, client conversations, negotiations, presentations and expressing complex ideas with confidence. Corporate coaching arrangements and rates are discussed individually.
Booking, Plans & Policies
How do booking and payment work?
Choose your preferred lesson plan and select available session times through TidyCal. Payment is completed securely through PayPal within the booking process. Your booking is confirmed once the required payment and booking steps are completed.
Can I reschedule a lesson?
Yes. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be counted as completed. Please see the Terms & Conditions for details.
How long are lesson packages valid?
Package validity begins with your first session:
- Focused Plan: 10 sessions — 3 months
- Fluency Plan: 20 sessions — 6 months
- Mastery Plan: 40 sessions — 12 months

What is your refund policy?
If you purchase a lesson package and find that JFConvo isn't the right fit, you may request a refund within your first two completed sessions. Those completed sessions are non-refundable, but any eligible unused package balance will be refunded. Packages are generally non-refundable after the first two sessions, except where required by law. Please review the Terms & Conditions before purchasing.
Privacy & Contact
Are lessons private and confidential?
Yes. JFConvo treats lesson discussions and personal information confidentially, subject to applicable law and the limitations of third-party meeting platforms. Lessons are not routinely recorded, and either party must obtain prior mutual agreement before recording. Student identities, photographs and testimonials are not published for promotional purposes without permission. Further details are available in the Privacy Policy.
Can I contact you before booking?

1. About JFConvo and sessions
JFConvo is a private English conversation and communication coaching service currently operated by an individual freelancer based in Georgia. Standard individual coaching sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise stated.
These Terms & Conditions apply to private sessions and lesson packages purchased or booked through JFConvo. Corporate engagements are addressed separately in section 11.
2. Payments
Payment is required in advance when purchasing a session or lesson package. Bookings and payments are handled through the services presented in the booking flow, including TidyCal and PayPal where applicable. Prices and totals are displayed before purchase.
3. Rescheduling and missed sessions
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be counted as completed.
4. Lesson packages
Lesson packages are intended to be used regularly and are valid from the date of the first session:
Focused Plan — 10 sessions — 3 months.
Fluency Plan — 20 sessions — 6 months.
Mastery Plan — 40 sessions — 12 months.
Unused sessions may expire after the applicable validity period. If JFConvo needs to postpone a session, the package validity period may be extended where appropriate so that the student is not disadvantaged by the postponement.
5. Refunds
If you purchase a lesson package and decide that JFConvo is not right for you, you may request a refund within your first two completed sessions.
The first two completed sessions are non-refundable. Any eligible unused balance of the package will be refunded.
After the first two completed sessions, lesson packages are generally non-refundable, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
Single sessions that have already been completed are non-refundable.
6. Technical problems
Students are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, working audio/video equipment and access to the agreed lesson platform.
If a session cannot reasonably proceed because of a technical problem on JFConvo’s side, the affected session will be rescheduled or replaced.
7. Results
JFConvo is designed to help students improve spoken communication, confidence, pronunciation, critical thinking and real-world English. Individual progress varies. JFConvo does not guarantee a particular IELTS score, employment outcome, level of fluency or other specific result.
8. Privacy, recording and promotional use
JFConvo treats personal information and lesson discussions confidentially, subject to applicable law and the limitations of third-party meeting platforms. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information may be handled.
JFConvo does not routinely record coaching sessions. Neither JFConvo nor a student may record a session without prior mutual agreement. The purpose of any agreed recording must be explained and agreed before recording begins. Students must not record or distribute a session without prior permission.
Agreement to record does not authorize promotional publication. Student names, photographs, testimonials and identifying details are not published for promotional purposes without permission.
9. Respectful participation
JFConvo sessions are intended to provide a professional and respectful learning environment. JFConvo may decline or discontinue a session where there is abusive, threatening or seriously inappropriate behaviour.
10. Privacy Policy
Personal information is handled according to the JFConvo Privacy Policy, including information processed by independent meeting, booking, payment and communication providers. Read the Privacy Policy.
11. Corporate coaching
Corporate, executive and small-group coaching is arranged by enquiry. The scope, participants, session length and frequency, fees, payment arrangements, scheduling, cancellations, confidentiality, recording and relevant data responsibilities should be agreed in writing for each corporate engagement before it begins. These individual coaching Terms do not establish corporate package prices or rates.
12. Acceptance and legal rights
By purchasing or booking a JFConvo session or lesson package, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer law.

2. Information you provide
JFConvo may receive information you choose to provide when contacting or booking a session, such as your name, email address, contact details, booking information and information shared in messages or coaching discussions. Please avoid sharing sensitive information that is not needed for your coaching.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to arrange and manage sessions, communicate with you, provide coaching, manage packages and schedules, respond to questions, maintain appropriate business records and comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Confidentiality and coaching discussions
JFConvo treats personal information and lesson discussions confidentially, subject to applicable law and the limitations of third-party meeting platforms. This commitment concerns JFConvo’s own practices and does not control independent providers’ information processing.
5. Session recordings
JFConvo does not routinely record coaching sessions. Neither JFConvo nor a student may record a session without prior mutual agreement. The purpose of any agreed recording must be explained and agreed before recording begins. Agreement to record does not authorize publication or promotional use.
6. Testimonials and promotional use
JFConvo requires permission before publishing a student’s name, photograph, testimonial or other identifying details for promotional purposes. Permission for one testimonial or specified set of details does not automatically authorize unrelated or additional public use.
7. Meeting, booking, payment and communication services
Most international students use Google Meet for online lessons. For students in mainland China, VooV Meeting may be used when Google Meet is unavailable or unreliable. The platform used depends on availability and individual circumstances, and joining details are shared before the lesson.
TidyCal is used for booking and scheduling, and PayPal processes payments when selected through the booking flow. Google Meet, VooV Meeting, TidyCal and PayPal may process information under their respective privacy policies. JFConvo does not control those providers’ independent data practices.
Depending on your chosen contact method, JFConvo may communicate through WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, Instagram or WeChat. These providers may process messages and related information under their respective policies.
8. Sharing information
JFConvo does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate coaching, arrange bookings, process payments, communicate with you or meet legal requirements.
9. Retention
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including legitimate business, accounting and legal requirements. No fixed retention or deletion deadline is promised by this policy.
10. Requests and contact
You may contact JFConvo with a reasonable request concerning personal information you provided, subject to applicable law and legitimate record-keeping obligations. Contact: [email protected].
